From CANADA to MADAGASCAR - My TRIPS to MADAGASCAR island, FRANCE and CANADA

This Blog is about sharing the ORINGINALITY of my country, MADAGASCAR.   About me: I currently live in British Columbia, Canada but grew up in Madagascar island . Having spent time overseas (notably in France where I have studied for 6 years back in 2000 and in AUSTRALIA a few years later) made me change my perspective on my country and made me appreciate Madagascar on a very different level. Things, details such as food, quiet environment, people simplicity...all those things that we thought to be insignificant are the ones we do appreciate the most after our 8 year stay in Canada. That being said, there are still aspects of British Columbia that I like (nature, impressive snowy mountains) and this trip to Madagascar is just - at least for the moment - a way for us to take a small break and see Canada from the "outside" for the very first time. In this expose, we are going to start reviewing the traditional ways to deal with Autism and in some cases intellectual Disability. The reason why I am writing this is firstly because I have a young Son who was diagnosed with Autism, and later on with Intellectual Disability. I am from an Immigrant background and come from a place where Autism is still a taboo. We do feel indeed very blessed to have been able to establish ourselves in Canada, a country that we find tolerant towards kids like ours, not only compared to where we come from, but even in comparison with many advanced countries!!! First, please forgive me in advance if my English is not perfect. You have to understand that it is my 3rd language after my local language and French. When coming here, my son has barely been able to speak. He was unable to write, read and express his emotions. Often, he would have many tantrums, some of which were quite hard to deal with.
